AcornHop Support
AcornHop is published by Utility Forces LLC under the JimDoes.it brand. For help, use the parent area's support options or email support@jimdoes.it. Please avoid including a child's name or contact details.
Sound
Check the sound setting in AcornHop and your device volume, then use the activity's listen or replay control. The app's sound preference applies across learners on this installation. Turning sound on alone does not confirm that playback is audible.
Cards can be explored quietly. Listening recall uses sound; browsing cards or revealing an answer is different from completing a listening round.
Learners and saved progress
If expected progress is missing, first check which learner is selected. AcornHop keeps learning work on the device, including answers, tracing, help used and reading position.
Local recovery copies help preserve saved work but do not guarantee recovery of every change. AcornHop does not provide cross-device progress synchronization. Device backups may contain app data depending on your Apple settings. Retrying an activity does not erase all earlier copies, and removing or offloading the app does not guarantee that backups are deleted.
If you need help with missing progress, describe the activity and what happened before the problem. We cannot remotely access or restore records that remain only on your device.
Purchases and subscriptions
Open the parent area and complete the displayed word challenge to reach purchase restoration and subscription management.
Purchase restoration asks Apple to check access to purchased content. It does not restore local learner progress. Subscription management opens Apple's subscription controls. Sending a support message does not itself change or cancel a subscription.
Prepare a bug report
Choose Report a bug in the parent area, describe the problem, choose its severity and optionally add a reply address. The report automatically includes the app version, build number and iOS version.
Review the report before choosing what to do:
- Prepare email draft opens an email addressed to
support@jimdoes.it. You decide whether to send it through mail. No report is sent automatically. - Copy report places the report on the system clipboard so you can paste it where you choose.
The app does not automatically attach learner identifiers, progress files, tracing records, screenshots or transaction identifiers. Your entered description, severity and optional reply address remain saved after preparing, sending or copying. These actions do not clear the draft.
A reply address in the report is optional, but email may still include your sending address. If mail is unavailable, you can copy the report. Share only what is needed to explain the issue.
Privacy requests
Email support@jimdoes.it with questions or requests about information you have sent us. Support-message requests are separate from managing local app records, device backups and Apple's records. We cannot remotely erase device-only progress.
Read the AcornHop Privacy Policy for details about local records, optional support and website analytics.
