AcornHop Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
AcornHop is published by Utility Forces LLC under the JimDoes.it brand. This policy explains how the AcornHop iPhone and iPad app handles learning records, purchases and optional parent support, and distinguishes the app from this website.
Learning records on your device
AcornHop uses preset learner names and locally assigned identifiers to keep activity work separate. Children do not need a developer account or login. The app stores activity progress and actions on your device, including tracing paths, answers, unfinished choices, puzzle placements, help used, reading position and card activity. Sound and presentation preferences are also saved locally.
These learning records are not automatically sent to Utility Forces LLC. AcornHop does not provide a developer-operated account, progress-upload service or cross-device progress synchronization.
The app keeps local recovery copies and may preserve older records when its storage format changes. Retrying an activity does not erase every saved copy. Device backups may include app data depending on your Apple settings. Removing or offloading the app is not a guarantee that all device or backup copies are erased. We cannot remotely access or erase learning records that remain only on your device.
Sound and device access
Learning audio is included with the app and played locally. The sound setting controls playback. AcornHop does not record your child through the microphone or use speech recognition for learning activities.
The app does not request camera, photo-library or location access. It contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDK. These statements describe the native app, not Apple's own services or a website opened from the parent area.
Apple purchases and subscriptions
Apple handles purchases, subscription management and purchase restoration. AcornHop checks purchase access and responds to transaction updates, including when the app starts or returns to the foreground. Apple services may communicate over the network during these checks.
AcornHop keeps local purchase-access and recovery information, including product and transaction identifiers and relevant dates. Purchase restoration restores access to purchased content; it does not restore local learning progress. AcornHop does not ask you to enter payment-card details into its own screens. Apple's account, payment and service processing is governed by Apple's privacy information.
Optional parent support
You can prepare a bug report in the parent area. The report contains your description, severity and optional reply email address, plus automatically added app version, build number and iOS version. You can review it before preparing email or copying it.
AcornHop does not automatically attach learner identifiers, progress files, tracing records, screenshots or transaction identifiers. Avoid including a child's name, contact details or other private information in your description.
Preparing email opens a draft addressed to support@jimdoes.it. You decide whether to send it through mail; AcornHop does not send it automatically. Your mail service may supply your sending address even if you leave the optional reply field blank. Copying places the report on the system clipboard, where handling depends on your device settings and the apps you use.
Your description, severity and optional reply address remain saved in AcornHop after preparing, sending or copying a report. Those actions do not automatically clear the local draft.
When you send us a support message, we process its contents, contact information and included technical details to respond and help resolve the issue. These details may be linked through your email address. We use this support information for app support, not advertising or tracking. We retain support messages while they are needed to respond to and resolve support matters. Your mail service may retain its own copies under its own practices.
Website and external links
The parent area includes links to privacy, terms and the JimDoes.it website. Opening a link involves your browser and the destination website's services. Web-hosting services process connection information to deliver pages; this is separate from the app's local learning records.
If optional website analytics is offered, Google Analytics 4 is used only after you opt in through the website's consent controls. You can decline analytics or change that choice through those controls. Website analytics concerns visits to the website; it is not an analytics SDK inside AcornHop and is not required to use the app.
Questions and privacy requests
For support or requests concerning information you have sent us, email support@jimdoes.it. Describe your request without sending a child's personal details. Requests about messages we receive are separate from managing device-only learning records, device backups or records controlled by Apple and your mail service.
We will review requests concerning information we hold and explain any relevant limits. We cannot remotely delete progress stored only on your device.
We will update this policy when AcornHop's data practices change and show the revised date here.
